This notice explains how the B&F Contractors LTD website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. Similar technologies can store information on, or access information from, your browser or device.

Cookies used by this website

At the date of this notice, the website code does not set analytics, advertising, marketing or personalisation cookies. It does not include Google Analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking, and it does not create an advertising profile.

The cookie settings notice explains that only necessary technology is active. When you accept or save the necessary-only setting, the site stores bandf_cookie_preferences_v1 in your browser's local storage so it can remember that you have seen the notice. This preference contains no personal details and is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking.

If non-essential technology is added in future, it will not be activated until the visitor has been given clear information and any consent required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR has been obtained.

Cloudflare Turnstile security

The enquiry and Manage Your Data forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated spam and abuse. Turnstile is loaded on pages containing these forms and processes browser, device and interaction signals needed to decide whether a submission is likely to be genuine. The form response is then checked securely by the website before the message is accepted.

Cloudflare describes the signals used by Turnstile as strictly necessary for detecting and blocking bots. Turnstile may use necessary cookies or similar security technology. By default, a Turnstile widget returns a short-lived, single-use security token rather than setting a clearance cookie.

If Turnstile pre-clearance is enabled in Cloudflare, it may also set a cf_clearance cookie. This cookie records that the visitor has passed Cloudflare’s security checks and helps prevent repeated challenges. Pre-clearance is disabled by default. Where enabled, its duration follows the Cloudflare Challenge Passage setting, which is 30 minutes by default and can be changed by the website operator.

This security technology is used only to protect a form service requested by the visitor. It is treated as strictly necessary for that purpose, so consent is not required under the relevant PECR exception. Information about essential technology is still provided here for transparency.

Your choices

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking Cloudflare’s essential security technology may stop an online form from working, but it will not prevent you from reading the website. You can still contact B&F Contractors by telephone or email.
